Fellow in Political Polarisation at Central European University. His research focuses on populism in power, anti-populism, collective identities, discourses about post-truth. He co-convenes the group since 2019.

Thomás Zicman de Barros

Postdoctoral Fellow at the Centre for Ethics, Politics and Society (CEPS), University of Minho, Lecturer and Research Associate at the Center for Political Research (CEVIPOF), SciencesPo, Paris. His research focuses on the intersections of politics and psychoanalysis. He co-convenes the group since 2021.

Lone Sørensen 

Associate Professor in Media and Communication at the University of Leeds. Her research focuses on populism; climate denialism and conspiracism, political performance, political representation, democratic listening, digital politics, communication and the quality of democracy, and political truth-telling and authenticity. She co-convenes the group since 2022.

George Newth

Lecturer in Politics at the Department of Politics, Languages and International Studies, University of Bath. His research focuses on populist articulations of regionalist, nationalist and far-right ideologies, with a particular focus on the history of the Lega Nord and Lega per Salvini Premier. He co-convenes the group since 2022.

Théo Aiolfi 

Junior Professor at the University of Burgundy. His interdisciplinary research is located at the intersection of politics and performance studies, focusing on the stylistic dimension of populism and the political communication of politicians. He co-convenes the group since 2022.

Juan Roch González 

Margarita Salas postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Political Science and International Relations at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.  His research stands in the intersection of critical European studies, populism, nationalism and legitimation and disinformation in liberal democracies.. He  co-convenes the the group since 2022.
